Teseo & Co Shares Its Executives' Testimony on the DANA in Chiva and Alfafar
Sergio Martínez Herrero and Jorge Martínez, executives at Teseo & Co, have shared their deeply felt testimony about the devastating consequences left by the DANA (the severe cut-off low storm) in the Valencian towns of Chiva and Alfafar. This historic storm struck the region with unprecedented intensity, with rainfall of up to 445 litres per square metre in just a few hours in areas such as Chiva. As a result, torrents of water and mud destroyed streets, swept away homes and caused serious damage to local businesses. In Alfafar, the situation was no less alarming, as it too suffered the violence of the phenomenon, leaving its residents and businesses extremely vulnerable.
The scale of the tragedy has highlighted the need for more robust emergency plans, and Teseo & Co has expressed its commitment to helping the affected areas recover. In their statements, the executives stressed not only the material devastation but also the emotional and psychological impact the disaster has left on the community, which faces an arduous recovery.
